Unrepaired Leaks in Ceiling for 2 Years
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location!! Turtle Bay is so lovely.
Cons:
My bathroom ceiling leaked from an issue in the upstairs bathroom the entire time I lived there. Management took months to respond initially, then “fixed” the problem by covering it over with plaster and paint and cutting a different hole into the ceiling that they never repaired. Came back from a vacation to find separate water damage in my kitchen ceiling which they never did anything about because it was not actively leaking, so by the time I moved out there were three separate I repaired holes in the ceiling of this very small one-bedroom.
Also jacked the rent up 20% in 2022 after telling me it would be raised “no more than $50 any given year” 🙃
Since I moved out, management changed hands, so maybe it’s better now . . .
Advice to owner:
Don’t take cheap shortcuts and actually fix problems in your building.
