Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Susan Edelstein reveals a mixed experience. While porters and supers are often praised for friendliness and helpfulness, management is frequently described as unresponsive, rude, and difficult to reach. Common issues include pest infestations, particularly rats and roaches, inconsistent heating, problematic water pressure, and broken or misleading amenities like laundry facilities. Some tenants appreciate the location and community atmosphere, but many report safety concerns such as package theft and noisy or inconsiderate neighbors. Overall, renters suggest the need for more responsive, respectful management and improved building maintenance to enhance tenant satisfaction.

Excellent porter. Terrible super, rude management

Pros

Great location. Close to train. Safe neighborhood

Cons

Rats in the basement. Expensive in building laundry. Problems with hot water on occasion

Advice to the owners

Have a nice and approachable super. Fix the rat problem in the basement

It's not a healthy place to live short term.

Pros

lots of businesses in the area.

Cons

If you value your packages, sanity, and peace of mind, avoid this building. The lobby is a free-for-all for package thieves—I’ve literally caught my neighbors red-handed, and they still do it. The super is useless and never responds to complaints. On top of that, the noise levels are unbearable, and the neighbors are sketchy. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Advice to the owners

enforce safety of the neighbors and reprimand the ones that are proven to be stealing.
