Great location, poor landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the neighborhood. Lots of great food around
Cons:
Heat does not function in entire back half of apartment on 2nd floor. Landlord is difficult to reach and resistant to replacing or fixing anything. Rent was raised with no repairs or improvements made.

Good location mid-landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, tons of natural light, nice neighbors, close to the 2/5 station
Cons:
Heat - the heat only works on the front half of the apartment. This has been a complaint of many tenants on all 3 floors for many years. There are many structural issues in the construction of the building that makes the back half more drafty and cold in the winter.

Maintenance - the landlord mostly relies on a handyman to do most of the repairs and they are done mostly decent.

Trash - per the lease, someone was supposed to take the trash to the curb. However, due to some unfortunate circumstances, the building was left without someone to do that for a while. There were issues in hiring a new person - the landlord tried to underpay workers, used the tenants to take out the trash with a small rent reduction, which took months before someone was properly hired to take out the trash.

Rent - increases more and more every year.
