Former tenant·3 minutes ago

Landlord doesn’t turn on heat

Pros

Great location and a lot of restaurants on the street

Cons

The landlord lives in the building and he is a hoarder. He leaves mountains of garbage in the hallway and it is incredibly unsanitary and a major fire hazard. The landlord also does not turn the heat on in the winter. I would not recommend renting an apartment in this building.

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Hoarder landlord, broken stairs, no heat, outdated meters

Pros

Location is good, vines provide privacy. Some issues that

Cons

Landlord is very stingy with the heat and breaks the heating laws by not turning it on. He is a hoarder and leaves stuff in the lobby and halls. The stairs are caving in and a tripping hazard. He has an ongoing dispute with con Edison about the instillation of new gas meters which falls in pet on the tenant since con Ed will shake them down as if they have any control over the issue. Building is filthy in general.
