Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Renters of buildings managed by Robert Vaccarello commonly praise the attentive doormen and responsive maintenance teams, noting quick fixes and a generally clean environment with well-maintained amenities, particularly at the Upper East Side location. However, recurring issues include slow owner responsiveness at times, noisy hallways, and some property management inefficiencies. In Bronx properties, tenants report serious pest infestations, water issues, and broken elevators, highlighting concerns over poor upkeep and lack of proper management action. Overall, while there is appreciation for the staff and safety, renters advise improved communication, addressing persistent building maintenance, and better responsiveness to tenant concerns.

Super noisy, great staff

Pros

Doormen are amazing Good amount of space Never really had bad Maintenance issues Lots of laundry machines

Cons

No dishwasher Leasing/management were idiots Super noisy hallway Heard every step of upstairs neighbors who would run around at night? Heard every bark of every dog in every direction Doors slamming would wake me up every day I didn't last a year bc of the noise

Former tenant·2 weeks ago

Nice building for longer term but got a lot pricier

Pros

The maintenance is really responsive and replaced a fridge, dishwasher, did mold remediation and repainting and pest control over the years. The AC/electric is included as a flat $20 a month per AC unit. The doormen are very reliable, helpful and friendly. The floorplans are good sizes/shapes for furniture layout, and the building has nice views, even from the 2nd floor laundry room, which has a view of the park next door.

Cons

Construction noise was ongoing and some hallway noise is loud. The rental office was difficult to deal with for the application and renewals due to slow response times. The rent increases after covid discounts were steep -- rent went up over $1K after two renewals (450 and 550 each).

Advice to the owners

Give reasonable renewal offers and have the rental sales manager improve response times.
