Good building, meh management
Pros
The space is great. It's a true four bedroom, with all four rooms a decent size, big bathrooms, and a huge common space and kitchen. Great natural light throughout the entire apartment. The apartment is a little old but well maintained. Appliances are all new, rooms are quiet. Everything works.
Cons
Being on the corner of Gates and Tompkins, it can get pretty noisy. There's a liquor store across the street, and Taco Bar which can get loud. It's an older building so sometimes stuff breaks or needs to be fixed. The owners usually handle it but it can be annoying to deal with. The hallways / stairwell could be better maintained. The front door lock is constantly breaking. It gets fixed 1-2 times per year but something is for real wrong with it as it continues to break.
Advice to the owners
Management is doing a good job maintaining the building. They could be a bit more responsive to maintenance tasks that they deem not that important.

In 3 years, no one has come to clean the building. There's no super. And more urgently, the building door has been broken for 6 months.
