deadbeat landlords and other vile living conditions..
Former Tenant
Pros:
When we decided to move in, we were looking for space to live and work, it's a large enough apartment.
However it was not habitable at first, it was empty for several months, despite the great location.
I's listed as a 4 unit, but there is a 5th unit in the basement.
Cons:
The floors were falling trough, broken windows and doors, there were several water leaks in the kitchen and bathroom, we had to gut everything, remove mold, replace tiles, replace all appliances, repair plumbing and the electrical was all wrong and very dangerous. Rodents, bugs, it was hell to clean it and make it livable. The landlord made clear it will be rented as is and everything else is up to us, it's been rough!
Advice to owner:
It's been a struggle for us tenants, we have been working so hard to maintain the house.
The landlords is now trying to evict the oldest tenant, after 35 years, it is breaking our hearts.
After all, we've been good to this house.
