Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Anthony Calicchio reveals a pattern of significant dissatisfaction with management's responsiveness and maintenance. Core issues include chronic elevator malfunctions, inadequate heating and cooling systems, and delays in addressing repairs. Many tenants express frustration over steep rent increases paired with declining service quality. Garbage management and pest control receive mixed reviews, with some buildings facing infestations and cleanliness problems. Conversely, building staff such as doormen and concierges are frequently praised for their professionalism and helpfulness. Prospective renters should expect luxurious appearances but be wary of persistent management shortcomings impacting overall living quality.

DISASTER NOT LUXURY RENTALS

Pros

The views and the location.

Cons

The worst experience ever. Continuous and unpredictable hot water and heat interruptions throughout the winter, rigged thermostat and the heat never goes on until the outside temperature drops below 50F. Very hot in the apartment during the warm season. Basically their temperature control is out of control in the apartments and in the gym. The elevators are DISASTER. The management doesn’t care, they just want to flip this building. The turnover in the building is like revolving doors. The prices go up. The services go down. Do you’re a favour and stay away

Advice to the owners

Hey the problems fixed, have some decency

Ongoing issues with building

Pros

Great windows and light.

Cons

Can’t do long term lease. Huge rent hikes. Ongoing elevator issues. AC issues. Hot water issues (for some of building—lower floors) personally I have brown water. Make you pay for amenities that are sub-par.
