Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Jeffrey Manocherian reveals generally responsive and professional management, with tenants frequently praising attentive supers and timely issue resolution. Buildings are often described as clean and well-maintained, with quiet neighbors in many locations. However, persistent challenges include pest problems like mice and roaches, occasional garbage management lapses, and some noise issues. Some buildings suffer from older infrastructure, including outdated appliances, low water pressure, and elevator size concerns. Package security and inconsistent responsiveness in a few cases have been noted. Overall, residents value the management’s efforts but suggest improvements on pest control and upkeep protocols.

Good building to live in if you can tolerate traffic noise

Pros

Good sized apartment, gut renovated with good construction, thick walls. Elevator and laundry building, with nice clean and bright hallways. Never seen a problem with package theft. Great rent for the area. Responsive management.

Cons

The area is dirty, noisy and busy, it doesn’t feel like a neighborhood. The building is right in front of the Queens Midtown Tunnel so you will never not see or hear cars. Building repeatedly gets ticketed for disposing of large trash items incorrectly. The super doesn’t live on site so some residents had to take it upon themselves to shovel snow or do smaller building tasks. Elevator is very very small. It’s a 12 min walk to any subway so would not recommend to live here if you have to use the subway to get to work.
