Slumlord Owner Ruining Lives

Pros

Good location. The apts themselves are spacious, with plenty of closet space and large rooms.

Cons

Slumlord won't make any upgrades or even fix things in the building. Kitchens and bathrooms are virtually unchanged from the 1960s. Elevator is often broken. Management company is not responsive. Roof leaks. Laundry room is often filthy.

Advice to the owners

Take ownership seriously and do more than collect rent checks.

roach infested and unresponsive management

Pros

neighbors and community. many people have lived in the building for years and are quick to welcome you in!

Cons

roaches everywhere, the super’s and the exterminator’s solutions did not work and management is very unresponsive regarding all requests
