Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for Nicholas Kotsonis-managed buildings reveals a mixed but insightful picture. Management is generally responsive and attentive, often praised for timely communication and care, particularly in rent-stabilized properties. Many appreciate the cleanliness and well-kept common areas, though some note aging infrastructure like old windows and appliances that need updating. Pest control is mostly adequate, but occasional issues exist. Noise levels vary significantly by location, with some citing traffic-related noise. Several tenants mention challenges with rental pricing relative to the unit conditions. Overall, while management strives to maintain standards and responsiveness, improvements in maintenance consistency and building modernization could enhance tenant satisfaction.

Decent management but poorly maintained

Pros

Management is responsive

Cons

Apartments are not maintained unless you complain

Advice to the owners

Replace basic infrastructure- old windows, carpeting in the hallway, etc

Great landlord, Great location. Noisy street.

Pros

Landlord takes great care of the building and is very responsive. Super location in Park slope near grand Army Plaza, and close to trains.

Cons

Only downside is that Union Street has a lot of traffic and is noisy so I’d recommend an apartment in the back of this building

Advice to the owners
