It’s fine, but…

Pros

The new neighbors are really nice. And it’s close to Greenwood.

Cons

Beware the landlord: I’ve been arguing with the landlord for the past year about installing smoke detectors. To which she responded they are too expensive and she doesn’t have the money. But she had enough money in her trust fund (that’s not hyperbole, she has an actual trust fund and a six figure salary and she inherited this building) to do a full gut renovation on her unit and install a washer and dryer and split unit AC and a brand new kitchen in HER unit and nowhere else in the building. She also refuses to get the fire escape inspected or have the front door fixed, which won’t lock.

Advice to the owners

Stop thinking of only yourself. If you won’t take care of the people’s homes you agreed to steward, then give the responsibility to someone else.
