Love my landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
The owners care about long term upkeep of the building. They own the block and have an office at the top open 9-5 for any issues. They maintain the landscaping and the trash and laundry rooms are very clean
Cons:
They could keep the entry way a bit cleaner

Great building and apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, well managed very clean garbage room for trash, clean laundry room. Buildings have a nice layout with a courtyard entrance with plants, flowers and water fountain. Packages are always secure and never problems with stealing. Apartment is well renovated.
Cons:
Walls are thin, you can hear pretty much everything your neighbors do. Some long running tenants in the building can be rude, loud and untidy.

Lived here nearly a decade

Pros:
Live-in super does a good job with things, apartment is spacious for the price
Cons:
The laundry machines in the basement were not great

40 20 69th Street
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to 69th 7 station
Multicultural, very active neighborhood.
Neighbors are incredibly friendly and active in the community
Will not run out of things to do
Cons:
Very noisy
Super's electrian was not very good (When replacing a fridge, he cut off the safety prong of a three prong outlet. Thankfully I called the super about it and he completely replaced the fridge)

Not too bad for the price/ Good location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, owner is responsive and rent is a good price for NY. Building itself is pretty clean and package never goes missing! Management is good at keeping this building safe, there are tons of cameras in all the hallways and outside. as well.
Cons:
Laundry is limited, hard to find any clean washing machines especially on Sundays. Most tenants have pets so sometimes it can get noisy but the most annoying part is how much animal hair there is in the washing machines, it can be pretty disgusting. Love pets but not when I'm doing my laundry.
Advice to owner:
Try to keep the laundry room cleaner. please.

DO NOT MOVE HERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Newly renovated apartments. Laundry room. Quiet block.
Cons:
This building has a HUGE mouse problem and they are not fixing it! They are constantly doing construction which causes dust and noise and is probably the cause of the mouse problem. The building is infested!
Advice to owner:
Do something about the mice!

Worst experience ever
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are spacious and beautiful. The super is great and available when problems in the apartment need to be fixed.
Cons:
I lived in an apartment where the noise from the upstairs neighbor ruined my quality of life in the apartment. This was my worst ever experience living in NYC. It was so bad that I looked into hiring a mediator. I am about to be moving out and am still being woken up at 1 am by the sound of furniture being dragged across the apartment. The walls are so thin and the amount of noise is absolutely unreasonable. I would call Sorelle to complain and the woman who answered would say she would call me back, I wouldn’t hear for days until I started calling incessantly. Nobody from the office EVER came to manage the noise and she would just call the tenants and they would say it wasn’t them and she would reiterate that information vs being proactive. The super would knock on the door and then occasionally talk to them but the noise never stopped. I filed 311 complaints to no avail. I felt they didn’t do enough to stop the problem and I had confronted the neighbor myself who did not care. When it came to the end of my lease they refused to let me out fifteen days early despite all the issues I had in the apartment for a full year. Avoid this building at all costs if noise is an issue or trigger for you. The water pressure in my apartment was also nonexistent.
Advice to owner:
Put in more effort when it comes to resolving legitimate problems that extend beyond picking up a phone and saying you can’t do anything. Be more flexible. An agreement is an agreement but I was absolutely miserable living here and this was a major quality of life issue that could have been handled differently instead of just only caring about churning a profit.

Caught on Fire!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large studio great price at the time
Cons:
2 months into my lease one of the units caught fire back in 2015! I was 1 apartment away from having my belongings destroyed. The fire damaged 8 units. I broke the lease as my unit was heavily affected by the soot even though a fire restoration company was hired to clean. The spot wouldn’t stop returning until the other units were reconstructed. They never disclosed the reason for the fire and seems it must have been electrical. Apartment neighbors were very noisy.
Advice to owner:
Fix electrical issues

Ice cold building with leaks. Low quality rennovations.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighborhood is nice and they do keep the place clean
Cons:
It's freezing, the heat never works. Cold air constantly leaking through the windows. Overpriced.
Advice to owner:
Properly renovate, don't do quick jobs. Don't allow four months of complaints to fix a problem.

This building is wack 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing it’s wizzack
Cons:
That it’s deep at the end of the block and our downstairs neighbor is old as hell and trashy
Advice to owner:
Get better tenants

Building is fine
Former Tenant
Pros:
Maintenance workers are super nice and helpful; laundry in building; generally clean
Cons:
Building management doesn’t do a good job communicating to tenants or following up when called about issues
Advice to owner:
Inform your tenants of building issues as they are happening

It looks better than it is.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large newly renovated apartments.
Cons:
There is a pest problem. Although the apartments look new and clean and pretty I have been battling a pest problem that is coming from neighboring apartments. At first management was helpful but they seemed to get annoyed about hearing about the problems and stopped being responsive. They do not like to be emailed and due to Covid they’re not always in the office so contacting them is very annoying. The heat was great the first year I saw here but it has been terrible this year. I assume they’re trying to keep costs down but it’s been unbearably cold and they insist they aren’t doing anything different.
Advice to owner:
Raise the heat and be more accessible by email or an app. More aggressive extermination is needed.
