Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Nancy Mak reveal a mixed experience. The properties are praised for their prime locations, spacious apartments with natural light, and generally quiet neighbors. However, significant concerns include frequent maintenance issues such as unreliable heat in winter, malfunctioning elevators and intercoms, pest problems, and inadequate garbage management. Management responsiveness is often described as slow or dismissive, with reports of poor communication, delayed repairs, and security issues including stolen packages and faulty building doors. While some tenants appreciate the affordability and location, prospective renters should expect management challenges and ongoing building upkeep problems.

Not Bad Not Great

Pros

Decent value, good location. Quiet building and street noise was surprisingly not bad given the location.

Cons

Poorly maintained building. Minimal maintenance done on both unit and common areas. Common areas pretty gritty looking. Sketchy elevator. Occasional bugs, no regular, recurring pest control. Management will respond to issues but do the bare minimum which often does not actually rectify the problem.
