Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by DAVID EISENSTEIN REALTY reveal mixed experiences with management responsiveness and building upkeep. Some commend the helpful super and cleanliness, praising updated intercoms and a generally decent living environment. However, there are consistent complaints about rent hikes, lack of amenities, and aging infrastructure like unreliable elevators and outdated laundry facilities. Heating and water pressure performance vary across units. Pest control is generally adequate, but overall maintenance, especially in common areas, occasionally falls short. Noise levels fluctuate, and neighbor relations differ by building. Improvements in transparency, timely repairs, and upgrading amenities could enhance tenant satisfaction.

Would be good

Pros

Super is great. Location is good.

Cons

No real amenities and the greedy landlord keeps raising the rent by thousands of dollars. They don’t paint the hallways, or update the bathrooms and kitchens. There is a dirty laundry room with cockroaches and old machines the owner makes money on. If it wasn’t for the slimy greed of the owner it would be tolerable. Leaving because I don’t want to give them any more money.

Advice to the owners

Your building isn’t that nice. Make improvements if you want to charge so much. Also illegal construction for your family members is ridiculous. They are awful and so are you.
