Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Henryk Kielmanowicz reveals a mixed management experience. Some tenants praise his responsiveness, kindness, and willingness to address issues promptly, especially at 1079 Manhattan Avenue, where unit renovations and landlord involvement stand out positively. However, others report significant drawbacks such as poor water pressure, ongoing disruptive construction, thin walls, inconsistent garbage management, and slow or unhelpful responses, particularly at 970 Manhattan Avenue. Reports also cite frustration with security deposit disputes and inconsistent maintenance. Prospective renters should expect variability in management quality across different buildings and be cautious about potential noise and upkeep challenges.

decent unit, but bad water pressure, walls, and mgmt

Pros

the unit itself was decently remodeled and clean.

Cons

water pressure sucks huge ass. thin walls. construction was still ongoing spring 2022. “management” took over 1/3 of my security deposit for “cleaning, painting and prepping” even though i left it quite clean. i did break my lease, but “management” took that opportunity to raise rent over $300/mo. i didn’t have time to do a walk through but i would recommend you do so to make sure you get your entire deposit back.

One of the better apartments

Pros

- responsive and kind landlord, would address most issues within 24 - 48 hours - apartment was renovated before I moved in - the landlord and team will store and install your a/c - good location

Cons

- landlord tries to do things himself when in some cases a trained professional is needed - landlord gaslights sometimes
