Good Starter Apartment

Pros

Building is well marinated despite its age Serious issues handled quickly Charming area New verizon internet is a big quality of life improvement

Cons

Laundry machines prone to breaking and little follow up from management to confirm when repairs are done, often broken machines are just plugged back into to fleece more money out of tenants. elevator is slow and requires you to pull open a heavy door to enter, often fine but tough if you are carrying alot

Advice to the owners

Improve transparency with tenants when addressing building level issues, follow up as issues are addressed with concrete updates of progress and when possible provide proof that repairs are underway or complete

Great Space, Bad Management

Pros

Loved the neighborhood and location. Great space and large amounts of storage, unheard of at the price point.

Cons

Owner/property manager were non-responsive on issues. Became evident after a while that contractors would be hired to look at problems but would not be paid to actually do the work to fix them. Building slowly deteriorated over time with not expectations or plans to address issues.
