Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Isaac Itah reveal mixed management experiences. While some tenants appreciate responsive communication and affordability, many highlight recurring issues such as poor cleanliness, ineffective pest control, and inconsistent heating. Complaints about management's slow or inadequate response to maintenance requests, particularly regarding pest problems and deposit disputes, are common. Noise levels and neighbor relations tend to be positive, but dissatisfaction with maintenance quality and deposit handling detracts from the overall experience. Potential renters should expect a mixed environment with affordable rent but be prepared for challenges in management responsiveness and building upkeep.

Decent and Affordable

Pros

Responsive management, built-in bluetooth speakers in common space, low noise levels, located near lots of shops and restaurants.

Cons

Unclean stairwell, minor mouse and cockroach problems, very little natural light, showers need re-grouting, far from public transportation.

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

subpar management and deposit theft

Pros

dishwasher that works, ac that sometimes does

Cons

landlords never addressed repeated pest complaints, heating broke in the winter, management communicated that there was no damage to the apartment that would warrant the deposit being withheld then immediately sent an itemized bill claiming damage to the unit and refused to return deposit.

Advice to the owners

respond to pest complaints, don’t send emails about rent and deposits that are set to disappear after a certain amount of time, and return deposits when you say you will.
