Respectful neighbors but terrible building condition
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly neighbor’s that look out for each other even to make sure you get your mail or packages. Quite place that each apartment is respectfully with their noise and understand that it’s an old building.
Cons:
Poor maintenance of building. No camera or security so crazy person can enter building. No laundry room. Stairs only and only at one direction. No back yard access so if there is a fire you will be stuck being in the back of building. Owner has a lot of violations and doesn’t want to repair or fix the issues. Tiredness calls to the office to fix apartment issues and building, no answer from them. Property don’t care and want to kick tents out. Hot water and heat is always an issues all year round. If they send someone to fix an issue it would be after 3 years only for a temp fix that will break after 3 days. There rats running around building and beg bugs coming out of the floors, walls, and any open hole.
Advice to owner:
Fix violation and remodel building because it falling apart. No need to kick tents out. Improve office communication with tenants. Repair repair issues that need to be taken care of like hot water and heat.

1.5 years since I moved out - still fighting for my security deposit back
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close proximity to restaurants
Cons:
Everything else - landlord does not care about his tenants. I have been trying to get in touch with management for over a year to receive my security deposit. They have not returned my emails and have been dodging my calls. I finally got the personal cell number of the landlord and he picked up and said “leave me alone” and hung up. What he fails to understand is that he has $2,300 of my money. I am not the only previous tenant having issues with “friendly associates”, and I know his previous brokerage stopped working with him due to his work ethic. I very highly discourage moving here unless you want to give away your hard earned money for no apparent reason.
Advice to owner:
Learn to treat your tenants with respect instead of your own personal bank
