Bad landlord nice area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Wonderful area, nice bones to the building, lots of windows and light. Corner building, roof access. The hired exterminator who came yearly to preempt and also as needed was really great!!! Super was nice.
Cons:
Loud intersection - didn’t personally bother me but good to be aware of. Unresponsive landlord (left us without hot water for 9 days to save money on hiring someone, didn’t fix broken heating system for months, took our windows out midwinter) and a kindly but usually ineffective super. Old, outdated kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom had no ventilation except for an internal window that vented very poorly. Kitchen had lots of little openings behind the cabinetry through which mice and water bugs occasionally emerged.
Advice to owner:
Update the bathrooms and kitchens. Fix issues before they create illegal living conditions.
