Solid deal in Queens
Former Tenant
Pros:
Never had any issues with pests. It's a pre-war building so things are a bit rundown but the super and landlord have always been responsive to fix issues as they came up.
Cons:
Neighbors can be noisy with music at all hours of the day/night. My apartment only came with one window unit for AC which makes it hard to cool more than that one room in the summer.

Spacious apartments, horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big apartments with a lot of sunlight, laundry in the basement, landscaping is kept nice and the building is in a good location. Good mix of older / younger people... most of whom are very nice.
Cons:
Leaks, people leave the front door open so strangers can just walk in, elevator breaks on a daily basis and is not cleaned, getting in touch with the landlord and management company is nearly impossible (even if they answer the phone there will never be any follow up), the outside of the building is falling apart and they refuse to pay to fix it. No new sanitation measures since covid.
Advice to owner:
Many of the apartments are falling apart and have leaks and damage. Fix it! We shouldn't have to complain 90 times before action is taken (if it is even taken). Someone needs to be sanitizing the building since covid... it is a hazard!
