Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by 202 PARK SLOPE LLC reveal a mixed management experience. Tenants praise the friendly doormen, well-maintained apartments, and responsive staff quickly addressing plumbing and electrical issues. The location and neighborhood are also appreciated. However, persistent elevator problems—often lasting weeks or months—reflect poorly on maintenance responsiveness, causing severe inconvenience, especially for elderly or pregnant residents. Common areas show signs of deferred upkeep, such as peeling wallpaper and outdated hallways. Garbage management and pest control are generally well-handled. Rent increases without clear communication and tactics like delisting apartments raise concerns. Prospective renters should weigh excellent staff against ongoing infrastructure challenges.

Run down building

Pros

- doorman - gym - views - location to train

Cons

- break ins from street - lack of common space upkeep - maintenance is deferred until situation is dire Look up reviews on Yelp and Google for Werber Management. The elevator went out of service with no warning. Due to their maintenance neglect, it will take months to fix. The super left the same day the elevator went out. There was no notice given for either event. There are pregnant women, elderly being forced to walk up 12 flights of stairs. The views, neighbors, design are great, but they come with a price. Think twice about moving into this building. There is a reason turnover is so high. *** update *** The elevator was down from April to October. A new management company has taken over. They’re retroactively charging tenants an increase that previous management neglected to charge. They’re ignoring maintenance requests to upkeep common areas, gym, etc. They delist then list apartments under a new apartment #. This avoids showing price and availability history. They’ll charge you the maximum amount (watch out for ‘free’ months) while maintaining the least.
