Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Eleizer Schwimer reveals a mixed management reputation. While some properties boast responsive landlords, good heating, secure access, and pet-friendly policies, many renters report issues like slow or unresponsive management, pest problems, noise disturbances, and subpar cleanliness. Garbage management tends to be adequate, but water pressure and heating reliability vary by location. Several reviews highlight concerns about unaddressed maintenance, building upkeep, and occasional disputes over leases and deposits. Tenants advise improvements in communication, pest control, and building maintenance to enhance living conditions. Prospective renters should be cautious and aware of their rights when considering these buildings.

Reviews

I just needed a place to stay

Pros

private bathroom, multiple trains a short walk away, access code required to enter the building.

Cons

They take forever to respond, don't answer the phone, you're getting charged a lot of money for a subpar place and then they want to continue upgrading.

Advice to the owners

please upgrade and deep clean these units.

Fair landlord, but know your rights

Pros

Landlord has generally been reasonable and quick to respond to maintenance requests. We have central air conditioning, which is appreciated.

Cons

Cleaning outside the front of the building & in the lobby could be better addressed. The lease notates inflated (&illegal) late fees. Be aware of your rights as a renter in NYC, and you will be fine.
