Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Peter Allen underscores an overall well-maintained environment with clean and orderly facilities, courteous doormen, and desirable amenities like rooftop decks and gyms. The management team is often described as responsive and organized, contributing to a positive living experience. However, renters express frustration with frequent and prolonged construction noise, high rent prices with steep increases, and limited apartment space. Pest issues appear localized but concerning to some. Communication could improve, particularly around ongoing developments and rent policies. While amenities and location are praised, persistent noise and cost sensitivity impact tenant retention and satisfaction.

Started out great

Pros

Door man, location

Cons

Office staff has high turn over, not really friendly, I didn’t have any problems with bugs or rodents. But the apt is definitely tiny for the price you pay. I’ve been staying here 3 1/2 years and this will be my last. No place to park my car. It say no xtra charges when we moved in but we pay amenity fees for the gym per occupant, and this is our 2nd home we hardly ever there. The office is in the basement so is the gym, if you happen to have a question they will literally ignore you before they respond to you. Oh and 85 of the residents are pet owners a allow their pets to urinate right in front of the building walk way or in front of the door leading in the buildiing

Advice to the owners

New rules for dog owners, engage more on a friendly note with residents

Great place but too small for what you pay

Pros

New appliances, great location, the best rooftop in the city.

Cons

Small and not a lot of storage. Also, the A/C bill in the summer for a 1bed 700 sq/ft apartment was almost $500 in July. Usually its around $350, but needless to say it is not energy efficient at all and you're paying for top dollar for rent already. They bait you in with a lower rent and increase it to absurd levels.

Advice to the owners

Focus on retention and not just new renters
