Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Jerry Drenis reveal a mixed tenant experience. Some buildings suffer from poor cleanliness, pest infestations, and inadequate garbage management, contributing to tenant dissatisfaction and health concerns. Maintenance can be inconsistent, with delays in repairs and occasional communication issues. However, other properties under his management receive praise for attentive and responsive supervision, clean and secure common areas, quiet neighborhoods, and effective pest control efforts. Overall, tenants can expect variability in management quality, with some locations showing notable improvements and others needing significant attention to cleanliness, maintenance responsiveness, and tenant engagement.

From Great to worst

Pros

My apartment was fully renovated before moving in. The floor I lived in was quiet. Payed rent electronically at first.

Cons

Eventually the mgt switched up on paying rent to checks from the initial electronic way. Cleanliness started to decline as time went by. I actually caught the super walking around with beers in hands during work hours. I got stuck in the elevator once going down to use the laundry in the basement, which the price to use was not included in the rent. Garbage maintenance was terrible. I broke my lease in the 4th year mostly due to Rats/mice infestation. I could hear them in the walls at night. That situation got really unhealthy when the mice got into my apartment through a space under the kitchen sink cabinet, living in my oven.

Advice to the owners

Well I don't know how the building is now. I would have stayed longer if I knew on my way out that a new super was apparently hired and making changes. But that's just one more con from this place poor communication.Advice: Treat tenants like they matter
