Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent renter feedback for Aaron Johnson's buildings, primarily at 123 Linden Blvd, reveals considerable dissatisfaction with management practices. Tenants repeatedly cite poor building maintenance, persistent elevator issues, roach infestations, and general cleanliness deficits. There is a consensus that owner responsiveness is often slow or nonexistent, with many feeling neglected and unsupported, especially regarding safety concerns and amenity upkeep. While some appreciate the amenities offered and the friendly neighbors, these positives are overshadowed by poor garbage management, malfunctioning facilities, and high extra fees for amenities. The management appears understaffed and disorganized, failing to meet tenants' expectations or uphold the building's luxury claims.

Luxury projects from Hell

Pros

The apartments are nice but the place was built overnight so things are falling a part.

Cons

Management doesn’t help with anything g. We are on our 4th management. The amenities never work. Roaches in the sauna. Gnats in apartments as soon as the temperature reaches 70 degrees. Jacuzzi hasn’t worked since I’ve been here and that’s what I was sold on. The rooftop and indoor pool levels are always off. Management doesn’t respond to emails and just make excuses. The building is Ghetto! Leasing acts as if they don’t know what’s going. They just take your money sign you in a lease knowing nothing is up to par with this building. I wasted money being here

Advice to the owners

WE ARE LIVING IN LITERAL HELL.

Pros

Amenities (when they work, $80 for monthly usage and an extra $700 this year to use the outdoor pool , well-connected to transport, connected to a parking garage, friendly neighbors, great for families, good mix of people of all ages

Cons

Edit: Things have somehow gone even more downhill since I originally wrote this review. It’s impossible to get a response from management, they patrol the amenity spaces like cops trying to make sure everyone there has paid all of their fees (even if they have, that’s unsettling when you’re trying to relax), they constantly threaten us with “checking the cameras”, and the outdoor areas always smell like dog pee and poop. They ask people touring to write them good reviews to boost their rating. We are all suffering. Learn from our mistake. The new management team is actually the worst I have ever dealt with. We went from living in a resort to hoping that the elevators won’t leave everyone stranded again. This building has so much potential, but management is squashing that entirely.

Advice to the owners

You’re worried about us paying rent on time, but you don’t care if the elevators or ANYTHING in this building works. Where is our rent going if not to making sure the building is safe?
