Baby mice, noisy all year (apt 4)

Pros

The location is amazing, the view of the park is super nice, there's a farmers market on that corner on Sundays, the living room is a comfortable size.

Cons

Many of the outdoor-facing windows are literally not fully in their frames with gaps at the tops which let in bugs, noise and whatever weather is out. We had a recurring mouse problem with baby mice wiggling in through tiny cracks in the walls and pooping in our kitchen, and the maintenance staff--although happy to put glue traps everywhere--did not adequately meet the needs of this issue, because as far as we know when we moved out there were still mice in the apartment. The noise issue is unending. If you have any room but the "cave" room (which only has one window into the elevator shaft), you will likely get loud music from the neighboring bars, Niagara and Lovers, consistently on weekends, sometimes randomly on weekdays as well, year-round. There are also typically loud adult men who own the balcony apartment above Lovers hosting parties and blasting country music until 2AM some nights. Whenever neighbors throw rooftop parties, the "cave room" and bathroom window--connected to the elevator shaft--can make it sound like the music is coming from next door. The large windows leech expensive heating and cooling out of the apartment in intense seasons, and are in urgent need of replacement. The main outside door frequently fails to relock after someone is buzzed in or the door closes naturally, so package theft happens with some regularity.

Advice to the owners

Replace the goddamn windows.

Location but management lazy and people bleh

Pros

Its a beautiful fucking space

Cons

The building is old, has a huge mold problem, deep pest problem, irresponsible and uncaring management that will randomly raise rent crazily and sloppy tenants dont help with the pest control

Advice to the owners

Instead of getting the highest paying young people, stay with the same tenants who care for the apartment
