Mouse infestation in basement

Pros:
Great location to the L or J Train, Good restaurants and coffee shops surrounding
Cons:
1 full year of Mice in our Apartment with no solution ever resolved. Owners kept our security deposit for mysterious reasons. Our hot water heater broke on several occasions. Being next to the Commodore bar means loud noise until 4am sometimes.
Advice to owner:
Completely reseal entire flooring to ensure mice cannot access building
