Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Isaac Pollak presents a mixed picture. Positive notes include responsive management at some properties, reasonable rent prices, and convenient locations near transit. Some residents appreciate friendly neighbors and well-functioning heating and water systems. However, significant concerns are recurring: poor cleanliness and garbage management leading to pest infestations, malfunctioning heating and plumbing, and slow or inconsistent landlord responsiveness. Issues with building security such as broken buzzer systems, lock changes, and package theft also arise. Several tenants report feeling neglected or mistreated, highlighting a need for improved maintenance, pest control, and more transparent communication from management.

Google say it all

Pros

Kind neighbors and proximity to the train is great.

Cons

The landlord withheld our deposit up to the point that we needed to take him to the court - no explanation of why it was being withheld, and no apology when we finally got our payment nearly a year later. After we'd moved we Googled the landlords name and found a number of articles about his mistreatment of tenants.

Old building but good

Pros

Its very cheap rent and a nice space overall, good location and the landlord is responsive

Cons

The apartment didn’t have closets, I could easily hear my neighbors
