True slum lords

Pros

Cool neighborhood, nothing building related.

Cons

Lived her for two years, made it through half the first winter with heat and then the boiler started filling the apt with smoke. This continued in to the second winter, calling the fire dept. they shut the boiler off, the land lord doesn’t fix it and then the apt fills up with smoke or, more often than not, the heat would just not be on. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. All winter. Management changed out the boiler literally the day we moved out and then we lost the first apartment, (we found a terrific place, not to worry), we applied for because this management company said we were “problem tenets” because we called 311 for not having heat/apartment filling with smoke. We showed video of the boiler on fire and everything. These folks do not care, there are rats burrowed under the front steps and on the whole block, and a serious feral cat problem making the awesome looking back yard near unusable unless you want to contend with Tony on the third floor of 86 George who feeds the cats hot dogs and assaulted the tenant across the hall from us for not treating the cats to his standards.
