Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for Meredith Marshall's buildings reveal significant management challenges. Many renters report poor cleanliness, inadequate garbage management, and persistent pest issues, notably rats. Heating is often unreliable, and security concerns such as broken entrance locks are common. Noise disturbances and unresponsive or defensive management contribute to tenant dissatisfaction. Some appreciate convenient locations and affordable rent, but hostile neighbors and ineffective handling of tenant concerns create an uneasy living environment. A few properties receive praise for adequate heating and accessible transit, yet overall, renters advise management to improve responsiveness, safety measures, and maintenance to foster a better community experience.

Ghetto Ahh Building

Pros

- When they do respond, its pretty ok. - Older tenants are nice.

Cons

• Rat infested. You hear them in the walls. • Building management appears overwhelmed. While staff are nice, the volume of challenging tenant issues has resulted in a consistently defensive approach. • The garbage compactor has been “out of service” for a few years. • Smoking frequently occurs in the hallways. Due to the age of the building, smoke travels into individual apartments, causing ongoing air quality concerns. • Noise disturbances are common. The building’s age offers little sound insulation, and tenants appear largely unresponsive to noise considerations. • The doorbell/intercom system is poorly maintained, making it difficult or impossible to see or ring tenants through the system. • The building superintendent demonstrates a consistently unprofessional and unapproachable demeanor.

Advice to the owners

- Stop allowing anyone to move into the building.
