Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Steve Brecker highlight a mix of experiences. One property on North Moore Street offers well-managed cleanliness and garbage disposal, but some tenants faceinconsistent heating and water issues in winter. While approved by most, improvements in security and building maintenance are suggested. Another property on East 75 Street is appreciated for its location but criticized for small kitchens and construction delays. However, a recurring concern includes slow owner responsiveness and pest control issues, leading some tenants to disapprove of the landlord despite rent stabilization benefits.

Isn't worth the rent!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors, no smoking, and the friendly super
Cons:
Mouse and water bugs, and repairs that never happen or require multiple follow-ups. If sth breaks, takes 6m to get fixed and only if absolutely necessary- they don't care about cosmetics, and leaking ceilings don't get painted after repairing the leak.
They've been renovating the entrance for >6m now, still have dangerous exposed electrical cables sticking out of the walls.
Advice to owner:
Check on your repair crew/ subcontractors for sticking to their time frame and get guarantees that the issue will get fixed! They don't know what they are doing!
