Landlord is unresponsive and you have to take Joseph Kasierer, the landlord to small claims court to try to get it back. But he already has a tax lien on him to pay the Department of Buildiings back for work they had to do because of imminent structural failure in 2022 on 467 Grand ST.
Advice to the owners
Run a legitimate business and honor the leases you sign.

Living here was a nightmare. There was a rat infestation that took months to treat, and when the management finally put poison for the rats they didn’t remove them, so the entire building smelled like decomposing rat carcasses. There were floods that were never attended to. Incredibly unresponsive management We left the lease early and they promised us we would get our security deposit back and we kept getting bounced checks from management. We had to threaten litigation before getting our money. Our neighbors took them to small claims court. Overall terrible experience.
