Looks nice, is cheap
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is right by the G, which is great. Is relatively inexpensive (especially now) and has a cool roof area for sunsets and stuff.
Cons:
My apartment smelled, especially when I left for a couple days. Like something died in the walls. Things fall apart a lot and they’re pretty cheap: the knobs on the sinks, blinds, fridge even. There was no ghost water for at least 5-10 minutes every time. You have to let the shower run before there was an ounce of heat. The AC and roof leaks when it rains, the plumbing was out of whack (sometimes a pool of water by the toilet, shower would periodically drip) but… the management didn’t care enough to fix really. I reported the leaks and they said they fixed it but it did nothing, it happened again and they basically said just ignore it. My rating is high because there is a lot worse and these were all minor inconveniences in the long run, we liked living here and it served us well overall. We never felt uncomfortable or bad and people respected any complaints about being loud or anything else.
Advice to owner:
Fix the water damage instead of letting it sit, you could get mold complaints which is a lot harder to fix

Some issues getting better, very slow response
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of space in nice neighborhood.
Cons:
Took to long for landlord to repair fire alarm issue (almost for a month it went off for an hour everyday). There was also some flooding in the first floor on occasion. They were also not really understanding of the COVID impact on its tenants and made no adjustments for us.
Advice to owner:
More than anything review the structure of the building to make sure there are no future problems. I do think the new management is immensely better, but needed to get up to speed faster.
