Ruppert Towers Great Families
Pros
Always cleaning common areas, taking put recycling and maintaining building. Friendly and helpful doormen.
Cons
If you’re younger, there are a lot of families with children and older adults. Lots of dogs, which could be a pro for some people.
You have to want to be in BPC
Pros
Dated building in the far southwest corner of BPC across from the PS. Despite the wear and tear, the staff is great (shoutout to Robert and Sean), and the people are mostly friendly.
Cons
The most recent "Capex" project I've seen RY Management do is to replace the hallway carpeting with the ugliest color possible. The washers and dryers are always breaking down. The gym looks like it hasn't been touched or had a dollar put into it since the building was constructed. There's much more, but I don't have time to write it all out.
Advice to the owners
RY Management is a crappy asset manager. This building could be an absolute gem in one of NYC's great neighborhoods if they cared to maintain it. I really enjoy the location, and the tenants are really agreeable and kind for the most part.
