Unlawfully kicked out on day 1

Pros

Good amount of space, but the landlord lives in the building and NOTHING is worth living above these landlord, trust me - RUN while you can

Cons

The landlords said the apartment would be professionally cleaned before we moved in, and the day we got there it was disgusting and clearly was never cleaned, so we reached out and asked if they could send someone to clean it like they promised and asked for a day of rent deducted since it wasn’t move in ready, this simple question set them off for some reason and the landlord stormed out and screamed at us to “GET OUT” over and over and said we cannot stay there and verbally harassed us and then the husband physically pushed my boyfriend out even though we were just calmly standing there in disbelief. We had a signed lease and paid first and last months rent, so this was completely illegal. I’ve never been yelled at like that in my life and they literally kicked us out onto the street at 9pm. I’ve never seen anything like this, they are not mentally well and should NOT be landlords. We had to report this, but please be careful.
