Bang for Buck in Pre-Covid Era
Former Tenant
Pros:
Extremely quiet street very close to laundry and the busier parts of Chelsea. Building was easy to walk up and down and not noisy at all. Good water pressure, heat, and little to no issues with management.
Cons:
The gas stove was never installed properly. This was terrifying and often resulted in me having to manually shut off the gas each and every time I left the unit. There were the occasional mouse, and often management/super was slow to respond.
Advice to owner:
Improve management response times to lingering issues and make it easier for complaints or issues to be filed by tenants.

Prewar building with prewar ethics!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building is beautiful. It has prewar details, molding, and general old school charm that is impossible to find in nyc.
Cons:
I’ve never met such unresponsive and blatantly rude management in my ten years of renting in nyc. I understand Verco properties owns hundreds of bldgs so they don’t care about you at all, but there have been SO many issues since we’ve moved in and they haven’t resolved a single one without issues along the way. If it wasn’t for management being so hostile about every little thing... mice, broken appliances, etc ... I would have renewed my lease.
