New management has killed this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great heat and water pressure! Quiet street
Cons:
Have lived here for many years. Sadly, when Fenix bought the building it all started going downhill. Trash piles up, common areas of the building have not been cleaned since May, but the company is hard at work with “capital improvements” which have us all reaching for respirator masks and earplugs all day every day to tolerate the conditions while they make improvements that no one wants in the name of slapping us all with 50% rent increases. This was a quiet building with a strong neighborly community. It’s now cold, impersonal, astronomically priced and managed by a company who fixes things with duct tape and takes weeks to respond to any sort of outreach or communication. Run, don’t walk, away from This and any other building managed by Fenix living
Advice to owner:
Show general respect for the tenants. Communicate, keep us informed and consider our best interest not just the interest of your bank account. While taking the trash out once-every-other-week is cheaper for you, allowing trash to pile up outside people’s windows or asking is to climb over rats nests to reach the recycling is both unhealthy and dangerous. Get your priorities in check.
