Bad landlord, period.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Small, only two units, lots of light, control over your own heat. red hook is great, although this block is commercial, so it’s loud during the day but silent at night.
Cons:
Not renovated well, windows not properly sealed, the whole thing is slanted so doors don’t close or open properly. But the worst part is Anton, he would blame us for everything. The heat was out and he said we were “hanging on the thermostat” because it was slightly crooked on the wall. He installed it crooked, and the heat was out because he hadn’t paid the buildings bill. Our pipe below the sink kept coming disconnected and he said we were kicking the pipe. Plumber comes, says a little rubber ring needs to be replaced, which is normal because they have a lifespan and this one was decades old. Just utterly ridiculous guy.
