Functional, Comfortable 1 Bedroom

Pros:
Quiet, great neighbors, great light and air quality free of odors. Great outdoor space.
Cons:
Tight size for cost (that’s just NYC).
Landlord kept security deposit unjustly.
Mediocre appliances.
Drastic rent increase after 1 year.
Advice to owner:
Jay was responsible and consistent about maintenance. Expect to lose your security deposit. I made zero alterations to the apartment, except for some normal use. He kept most of my security deposit for no good reason and made it difficult to schedule an inspection upon vacating. Otherwise was fair and responsible.

Great place, moderate street noise in front units

Pros:
Over all I love this place, there is beautiful light in the front units, a shared garden in the back, I never see any pests or vermin, and the appliances all work well. I have not had any issues with the landlord, and the super is very attentive and keeps the place clean.
Cons:
The only few things I do not love about this place:
The hot water does not last very long, I don’t even take crazy long showers but it has run out on me multiple times.
The laundry in the basement is pretty lame, I’m honestly not sure the dryer even ever gets hot enough to dry your clothes. I gave up on using that and use the laundromat instead.
The street noises from Dekalb, if you are in a front facing unit, are pretty significant even with the windows closed.
Advice to owner:
Upgrade the washer and dryer to make this place really amazing!
