Nothing life changing, but a cozy home.
Pros
The majority of tenants here are super sweet, hard working people, that mostly keep to themselves. The super is generally pretty good at responding quickly via text or phone and will provide a fix asap when something goes wrong.
Cons
Obviously this being a walk up building makes it less fun, but I’ve been most inconvenienced by the intercom system. We’ve been here for almost 3 years, and have never been able to open the door remotely. Any time someone calls, we have to run down stairs and let them in, and then hike back up. No rats or roaches for us, but we have had a ton of moths in the warmer months. We try to keep our windows closed during those times, but they have still managed to get in and multiply. For the price I’m paying, everything in generally manageable.
Advice to the owners
Just provide a clear instruction on how to operate/access the intercom system for all residents.
