Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for 57-59 SECOND REALTY ASSOCIATES LLC properties highlights a generally responsive management team attentive to maintenance concerns, especially with timely communication and updated apartment appliances. Buildings are located in desirable, vibrant neighborhoods which adds to tenant satisfaction despite somewhat small unit sizes. However, persistent pest control issues, occasional heating inconsistencies, and slow or outdated elevators are common challenges. Garbage management tends to be well handled, though noise from lively, youthful tenants can be noticeable. Tenants appreciate the efforts to keep apartments clean and functional, but suggested improvements include enhanced pest extermination, heating regulation, and elevator modernization for a better living experience.

Good Experience and Best Location

Pros

This location was amazing - still feel like an east villager but on the border of Noho and Astor place, with these other great neighborhoods at your fingertips. Clean apartment, although small. W/D in unit, unbeatable.

Cons

Rent increase - had to move. Lively building and sometimes loud due to young tenants

An all rounder

Pros

Nothing is great about this building, but very little is terrible. Everything feels very solid, the walls are thick and don't hear neighbors or people in other rooms. The bathrooms are nicely renovated.

Cons

One of the bathrooms had a significant amount of mold, and the issue was only partially resolved. There's a constant supply of bugs. One of the rooms has a very weird layout with a partial column and closet that makes it difficult to use the space effectively. Additionally, the windows facing 2nd Ave are exposed to a lot of noise. Old school elevator that's pretty slow, but glad to have an elevator at all.

Advice to the owners

Upgrade the elevator, fix the bug issue, and have a super that can come same-day
