Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by David Brause consistently praises the friendly, helpful, and responsive staff, especially the doormen and maintenance teams. Residents value the cleanliness and well-kept common areas, with amenities like gyms and pools enhancing the living experience. However, some concerns arise around the building’s construction quality, elevator availability causing long wait times, and occasional maintenance issues like leaks or brown water. Noise near the train and tenant behavior have been noted as minor drawbacks. Management is generally responsive, though some find fee policies strict and rent increases concerning. Overall, expect courteous management but some infrastructure limitations.

Reviews

clean and nice

Pros

its a nice building

Cons

can get a little loud near the train

Former tenant·2 months ago

Alright but not for the long term

Pros

Staff (concierge, porters, etc) are super friendly. Management, on the other hand, is a bit greedy and unreasonable when it comes to charging fees for lost key fobs, late fees etc. It has been said that the building is built pretty cheaply but for a 1 or 2 year lease, it is fine. Maintenance come within 48 hours to fix anything that is required.

Cons

Rent stabilization is expiring but we did not expect to pay the full 421-a tax in full close to the expiration of the tax abatement period.
