Solid building, no major complaints
Pros
Great balcony, easy to deal with management, very good sound insulation (I never heard my neighbors), basement gym was solid and not too crowded. It was a very functional and easy to live in building.
Cons
Had a bit of a roach problem when I first moved in, specifically the baby roaches coming in from the sink. Took a month to get that resolved then no issues whatsoever. Property owner just showed up without 24 hour notice when I was moving out but still had some days left on lease.
Advice to the owners
Communicate before just showing up.
OK Starter Apartment
Pros
The apartment itself is ok and in ok condition for the price. The bathrooms here are great. Right by the train.
Cons
It is "luxury" but the management company treats it as a slum. You'll be paying a premium for crappy service. Laundry in the building is a joke. The people who are supposed to take care of the machines don't and because of that the dryers do not dry and the washing machines are disgusting. I have resigned to walking to the laundromat (there are two nearby at least). A lot of tenants are not super friendly and the gym would be great is people cleaned up after themselves. The management company is awful but what else is new, its new york.
Advice to the owners
Take better of care of the building and you might not have trouble finding good tenants.
