Bad management and old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious units for cheap rent, close to subway lines
Cons:
Management is negligent. Waste disposal is gross. Noise levels high. No AC or window in living room. Old appliances. Terrible energy efficiency.

AWFUL MANAGEMENT / PIPE ISSUES
Former Tenant
Pros:
The street has a lot of restaurants on it.
Cons:
This past year in this unit 2N has been the worst experience I have ever encountered as a tenant in New York City. From the day we moved in there were red flags. The management is terrible with communication, there is no super for the building and they lose your rent checks (even direct deposits) EVERY single month. We always paid on time, even during the pandemic. Not only does the building have mice and roaches, the exterminator was impossible to get ahold of, the building has severe water pipe issues. There was a leak coming from our kitchen sink which led to the lobby ceiling falling out completely. It took days to get someone out. We went a week without water. When they finally came, they took left a massive hole in our bathroom for a week that looked down to the lobby. We couldn’t use the restroom in our own apartment because people could see us. Still to this day they have not fixed the leaks properly. We still were required to pay full rent during this time without our legal requirements. I would rate this management group and this entire building ZERO stars. You will waste your time, money and energy.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants with respect. This management group should be mortified by the way the employees have responded to urgent situations. To say the least, unprofessional and unreliable. You should be grateful we did not take legal action but I know if this continues, someone will.
