Pests, dirty, stolen security deposit - renters beware
Pros
Close to the subway and buses, close to the library, and a lot of food options.
Cons
Landlord unresponsive after we moved out, refuses to return our security deposit. Had to legally file a complaint with the attorney generals office Lots of pests shortly after we moved in, including a large rat. They had to bring in an exterminator to patch up large holes behind the kitchen cabinets. Garbage area was rarely maintained unless we asked them to. People used to regularly shoot up drugs on our stoop. Had to call an ambulance on few OD’d people.
Advice to the owners
Get out of the rental business
