Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for MIDAS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CORP. reveals a mixed management performance across its buildings. While some locations are praised for cleanliness, pest control, and responsive superintendents, persistent issues like faulty HVAC systems, elevator malfunctions, and package theft have been reported. Noise complaints and safety concerns, including rodent infestations and poor building conditions, also emerge in certain properties. Residents appreciate attentive on-site staff but express frustration with slow responses to critical repairs and inadequate security measures. Overall, renters should anticipate variability in maintenance quality and management attentiveness depending on the specific building.

Good except for elevator issues

Pros

Small balcony in each unit, nice views, great grocery store on the ground floor

Cons

The elevator had recurring issues for a few months, and it stopped working completely for a week. Also, packages have been stolen from the lobby multiple times. One of my stolen packages was worth $100.

Advice to the owners

Maybe a virtual doorman would help prevent package theft? Also, I think the latest repair of the elevator is meant to be more thorough, but only time will tell.

HVAC doesn’t work - extreme interior temperatures

Pros

Gorgeous well proportioned apartments. Reasonable in building gym and rooftop. Super and team are amazing and go out of their way. Building is clean and pest free. Amazing balcony space.

Cons

The hvac absolutely doesn’t work. Neither heating nor cooling. Do not be fooled by the built in units. This review is specifically for 3C, however the issue is pervasive to many units inn the building (confirmed with others who live/d there). Apartment reaches 85+ degrees in summer and into mid 40s in winter. There was literally ice inside the apartment during periods of extreme cold and the landlord ignored texts. The balcony door does not seal and you can feel wind coming through the crack. The floors get very cold all along the perimeter of the building. Cannot in good conscience recommend living here without transparency into these issues. The super and his team are wonderful and available, however they cannot fix this issue.

Advice to the owners

Fix hvac and the peloton accounts for the treadmill
