The building is kept clean and the landlord and super are responsive.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is well-kept, the tenants are courteous, the super and his staff are responsive to any inquiries or issues in the apartment, there are cameras in the lobby which help for when packages get delivered, there is practically no pest issue (exterminator sees tenants twice a month), there is a management office on-site where you can go to ask questions or speak to the building manager or pay rent.
Cons:
When you want to speak to someone at the management office, you have to go there in person. They’re not very responsive by telephone, which can be inconvenient if you’re busy and want to deal with something over the phone. Also, the number for the super is routed to the same line as the number for the management office. So if you’re trying to reach the super and you call the office and they do not pick up, you won’t be connected to the Super’s office. So you’d have to go there in person too.
Advice to owner:
Create a separate phone line for the super’s office that is different from the one for the management office. It would be more convenient.
