Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by George Gayle report generally clean and well-maintained properties with convenient locations. Many appreciate prompt responses for important repairs and upkeep of communal areas. However, heating systems are frequently cited as inconsistent or problematic, especially in winter, with some units experiencing ongoing issues. Noise levels and thin walls are occasional complaints, along with pest control varying between buildings. Garbage management quality is uneven, and some reviews indicate slow or dismissive owner responsiveness for less urgent concerns. Overall, renters can expect a mix of attentive management on key issues but may encounter maintenance delays and infrastructure shortcomings.

Don’t live here if you like heat

Pros

Location couldn’t be better. New kitchen/bathroom when we moved in. Very minimal pests. Kitchen is huge.

Cons

Can hear my neighbors have screaming sex constantly. Property manager will try and yell at/gaslight you when he has to come fix things. Heat breaks nonstop in the winter. Closest laundromat is an 8 minute walk. Wish we could use the backyard

Pests, e-bike alarms, and pollution BUT convenient, good size units

Pros

The size was great for a couple who were working from home part time. Nice big windows. Hard to get more convenient than literally above the station.

Cons

In a year we had mice maybe 4 times. The air purifiers struggled to clean the air without super regular cleanings due to the traffic and the train station. Someone had an e-bike parked nearby that went off almost every time a train passed for weeks before we left.

Advice to the owners

Deep inspection of the unit to find where the mice are coming in. Better sealing of windows.
