Terrible Management ruined Building

We love our unit and the location! East Williamsburg is awesome and you're near some good restaurants and cafes
Cons
The building is managed so poorly its almost shocking. On paper they do a good job keeping it clean and managing trash, but any actual issues spirals out of control. It takes forever to fix and management is not responsive. They will ignore emails and calls, even about emergency issues. They are shockingly rude and disrespectful to their tenants. Super is nice but he can't make management do their jobs better. We've had repeated issues (building wide not in just our unit) such as no hot water, no heat, water leaks, broken stairs, broken front door, so much package theft, and even two elevator fires! Never once have they taken an issue seriously! Also we had SUCH high electricity and gas bills and rent went up a lot each year. Not a compelling place to stay.

I have never had worse property management in my life. They are unresponsive - It will take dozens of emails and phone calls to get in contact with property management over extremely urgent maintenance issues. In the two years I lived, I had broken heat, no hot water, and a broken sink in my unit, all of which were very challenging to get fixed. The building elevator broke on 2 separate occasions by the motor CATCHING ON FIRE and both times a person was trapped and the fire department was called. We also have a serious issue with package thefts which management does not take seriously.
Advice to the owners
Try doing your jobs.
